War: Putin wants to wipe out all Ukraine nation – Mayor Ivan Fedorov cries out

The mayor of Ukrainian city of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, has cried out that President Vladimir Putin wants to kill all Ukrainian citizens.

The mayor, who was detained by Russian forces for five days in March, told CNN that his city is in a “very difficult and dangerous situation.”

Putin’s army occupied Melitopol, in southeastern Ukraine, within days of the invasion.

Russian forces detained Fedorov and installed a new mayor in the city, which is under Russian military control.

He was later released as part of a prisoner exchange.

Now the mayor said that Putin’s goal was to “kill all of Ukrainian nation,” starting by occupying its cities.

The mayor added that Melitopol’s citizens are not able to receive aid.

“We can’t deliver humanitarian aid. We can’t deliver pharmacy. We can’t deliver for emergency services. That’s why it’s a very dangerous situation,” he told the CNN.

Six soldiers die, 20 injured in Mali terror attacks

Six soldiers were killed and 20 injured in simultaneous attacks targeting three army bases in central Mali Sunday, the army said. Targets in Sevare, Niono, and Bapho were all hit by “armed terrorist groups (who) used suicide vehicles packed with explosives”, the Malian army said in a statement. A group linked to the firebrand preacher Amadou Koufa claimed the attacks, according to audio sent to AFP Sunday from a source close to the suspected attackers. The group, Katiba of Macina, belongs to the Group to Support Islam and Muslims (GSIM), an Al-Qaeda-linked alliance and the biggest jihadist network in the Sahel. “On Sunday morning, the mujahideen of the Katiba of Macina struck three camps of the (Malian armed forces),” a member of the group told AFP in an audio message.
