Seria A: Inter Milan outclass Roma to return top of Serie A

Reigning Serie A champions Inter Milan reclaimed top spot on Saturday after beating Roma 3-1 at home to move one point clear of AC Milan. Denzel Dumfries and Marcelo Brozovic scored first-half goals at San Siro before Lautaro Martinez headed in a third shortly after the break to earn Inter a fourth consecutive win. Manchester United interim manager, Ralf Rangnick, has reacted to their 3-1 defeat at Arsenal on Saturday. The Red Devils came into the game at the Emirates, looking to bounce back from a 4-0 hammering against Liverpool. However, they were two goals down in the first half, thanks to goals from Nuno Tavares and Bukayo Saka, before Cristiano Ronaldo pulled one back. Granit Xhaka’s long range effort settled the thrilling affair between the top-four hopefuls. Speaking after the game, Rangnick said: “The only weak side of our performance today was we didn’t defend well on the sides of the box. “We showed an improved performance but a disappointing result. Bees attack mourners at Alaafin’s palace

Some residents of Oyo town who thronged the Oyo Palace to mourn the death of the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi on Saturday were stung by bees. This happened around 10 am after Islamic clerics had arrived at the palace in preparation for the burial of Oba Adeyemi, who died on Friday night. Our correspondent observed that to ward off the attacking bees, residents in the open space in the palace who were affected plucked tree branches and leaves to drive the unwanted creatures away. A policeman was one of the victims and some of the mourners assisted him to drive away the bees and removed some of the insects which got stuck in his uniform. Source: PUNCH

Manchester United interim boss, Ralf Rangnick has named his side’s starting XI to face Arsenal on Saturday afternoon at Emirates. Oba Lamidi Adeyemi: Things to know about boxer who became longest-reigning Alaafin

BREAKING: Lagos govt reopens Chrisland Schools

The Lagos State Government has ordered the reopening of all Chrisland Schools shut down over controversies that surrounded an immoral act engaged in by some students of the school. This was contained in a press statement by the Lagos State Commissioner of Education, Mrs Folasade Adefisayo, made available to  The PUNCH  early Saturday morning. The PUNCH  had reported that the state government had  shut down all Chrisland Schools  in Lagos State on April 18, 2022. Some pupils from the elite private school located in Victoria Garden City embarked on a trip to Dubai to participate in the World School Games between March 10 and 13, 2022 when the immoral act happened. Following the incident, the school authorities suspended a female student indefinitely, stating that she was “a major actor” in an “immoral act”.
